Letter #7 Good Morning

7-28-10

Hola familia!
Estoy bien. Voy al templo hoy. Estoy muchisimo animado por que el Espiritu es marvillosa in el templo. Tambien mi espanol es bueno. Enseno la leccion dos este viernes in la TRC.
Anyways, thanks for all the letters and prayers and thoughts this week. I really appreciated all of them. I hope that mom and cory are having a grand time in Denver with Jason TIff and Eli. I still think that I will be the favorite uncle. But it sounds like everyone is doind well. Dad, way to get prepared for hurricane season!!! And I also really enjoyed that talk by Elder Bednar. It had a lot of great things in it and I thought of how great of job that you and mom have done at doing those things and raising your 4 boys. Les amo!
Cory, I am glad that you and Isaac had a blast at EFY. It sounds like you really learned a lot and really stregnthened your testimony. Sned me your stories. Tambien, that's cool you are going to get your Patriarchal Blessing. They are a huge help in your life, ecspecially during high school. Also, you got to do something. Study Preach My Gospel everyday!!!!!!!! That is one thing I really wish I would have done, is read all of PMG before i got here. So do it! ha It is an awesome study tool and combined with the BOM, you will learn so much.
Gracias for the package. THe SD card is the right one. I got a pic with Elder Sargent, so i am going to send my other one home today. Dad, I'm going to put a story in there that you may want to share with the YM. Its about missionaries that someone gave me and that I feel may help the YM. Or at least give them more of a desire to serve.
I haven't heard anything on my visa. I should get my travel plans thurs or fri but that doesn;t mean i have a visa. I will keep you posted on it though.
So this week has been really good. I feel like my spanish is improving. I am getting more and more comfortable teaching and understanding in spanish, but it is still a struggle. I know that once I get into the field, I will really progress. I can not wait to get to Mexico. I want to go walk around and teach the people. I feel like I am ready to get out there, but I still continue to work hard and study hard. Everynight in my journal I write Work Hard. Pray Hard. Serve Hard. That is my goal everyday of my mission.
On another note, i was called as Distric Leader this week. I was kinda surprised about it, but it will be a good learning experience for me. I hope that I can be an example to my district and really help everyone rise to their potential. We have a hard time staying focus, so that is something that I really want to try to improve amongst our district.
I read a really good talk today by President Uchtdorf. It;s called Lift Where You Stand. I liked how he shared that the reason we are called to certain callings, or to certain places as missionaries, is because there are people we will come in contact to that only we can touch. I have really seen that with our district and also with my companion that it was an inspired thing. Every thing we are called to, we need to lift where we stand. We need to serve those around us.
Well I hope that everyone is doing great. I pray for yall all the time and i am so thankful for your prayers. Please pray for me to have patience and for my visa. Hopefully I can get out on time. The Lord is a God of miracles...as long as we have faith. The Lord works according to our faith and in His time.
La iglesia es verdadera. Y Jesucrist es nuestro Salvador y Redentor. Si tenemos fe, podemos todas cosas. Confianza en el Senor con su todo corazon.
Con Amor,
Elder Glover
