Hola Familia,
Hola Familia,
So last night were transfer calls...and I am getting transferred to a little town called Quincy! It's a little bit west of Moses Lake. My new address is gonna be:
Elder Adam Glover9548 Rd. S NWQuincy, WA 98848
Well that is where I will be for the next little bit. So you can send letters and packages to that address until transfer dates roll around again. Transfers are every 6 weeks.
But it sounds like everyone is doing great back home. Sounds like things are finally starting to mellow out from the crazy summer you all had. I'm glad to hear that everyone had fun with Tiffany and Eli. I'm sure it was a blast to be with them. Oh, and Tiffany, those dogs deserved to have rocks thrown at them. They were trying to bite a missionary!! And I still haven't learned my lesson because after I feel, within the next couple of days I was throwing rocks and trying to kick them again. Maybe one day I will learn.
Tell Aunt Fannie that she can email me, but that I probably won't email back. But send me her address so I can write her por favor. And thanks for getting those other addresses. I look forward to getting them.
Visa news...there is none. I was really hopiing that Elder Johnson and I would get transferred back to the MTC because we had our visas, but we didn't. I really think that out of the blue one day I will get a call from President Palmer telling me that I got my visa and that I am leaving. He told us when we got here that he was told we would be here for about 2-3 months, so that would be sometime this transfer. I hoping so because I really want to get down to Mexico where I can just be engulfed in the language and the culture of the Mexican people.
So highlights of the week. We got an on date this week for a man named Uriel Garcia. I don't remember if I told you about him, but he actually found us. Elder Kurtz and I were biking along when he pulled up beside us and asked us if we were the spanish speaking missionaries. We told him we were then followed him to his house to teach him. We taught him the WOW but then lost contact with him until this week. In the three weeks we hadn't seen him, he had only smoked TWICE!!!!!!!!!!!! A miracle!!!! Then we taught him about the Restoration and the Gospel of Jesus Christ this week and invited him to be baptized and he said YES!!!! It was awesome. Then on Sunday he came to church for the first time and stayed the whole 3 hours!!! Man it was so cool!!!
We also had another cool experience with a guy named Ruben Rojo. He was a potencial investigator, but he had alreay been to a baptism and attended church once before we began teaching him. So this week we taught him about the Restoration and when we told him the First Vision, he said that he got the chills. The Spirit was so strong and it was so to see an investigator feel the Spirit that way. And then on Sunday, he came to church again!! And he stayed for 2 of the 3 hours. It was sweet.
So I am going to miss teaching these guys and also Alicia and Sergio. And I am going to miss Moses Lake and Elder Kurtz. But I am excited for a new experience. I was kinda surprised because I didn't think that I was going to get transfered, but the Lord has something for me to do. My new companion is going to be Elder Scoggen (Sp?) and I am excited to meet him. I talked with him a little last night and he said that they have 5 on dates in Quincy so I pretty excited about that. It is gonna be awesome.
And I got a question for Sister C. How is it living with all boys!?!?!?!? I know that it has to the best!! I mean what could be better than living with a bunch of guys?! Wouldn't you agree Mom???
Well thanks so much for all the love, thoughts, prayers, etc. Cory good luck on you driving test. I hope you pass with flying colors. And Good luck with the Eagle Scout Project. I know it is going to be awesome. I am glad that you didn't follow in my footsteps. Well I love you guys and look froward to writing you all next week and telling you about Quincy and my new companion and whether or not it is time for me to leave to Mexico! Ojela que si!
Con Muchismo Amor
Elder Glover
