Hola Familia
Man, thanks for all the emails this week. It sounds like everyone is doing well. I am glad Cory had a very productive week. A shooting, drivers license, a finished Eagle project. Next time he writes me he is gonna tell me he is married!!! But I am glad that everything went well and that everyone is safe. Thanks for the pics of Kherington. She is just growing up so fast. Her hair is so long and she looks like a big girl now. I can't even imagine how big she is gonna be in two years. And Eli too!!!! It is crazy. Hopefully I grow as much as both of them. Man, that's be cool to grow on my mission. Speaking of growing, I have lost 8 pounds since I have been out. I still got another 8 to lose.
Well it has been a week full of change. Sunday I got the transfer call telling me that I was going to Quincy. Monday, I packed. Tuesday, I got transfered to Quincy. So things are going really well. I am really excited to be here. We have 5 people with on dates. The Garcia Family, a mom and 2 boys, in the English Ward. And a couple in the Spanish branch, Jose Manuel and Suzana. It got to meet all of them this week and they all seem like they are solid. They are all aiming for baptism on October 23. So it is going to be an exciting month for us out here in Quincy.
They feed us a lot here in Quincy. In this past week, I have been to more dinner appointments than I went to all last transfer. Hopefully I won't get fat again, seeing that I am in a car and getting fed all the time. But we have had some cool dinner appointments. And I found out that Justin Birch served in Quincy for awhile. We ate with the Williamsons, Allan and Melody, and they really got to know him well and said that he was a great missionary. Thye thought a lot of them. So you may want to tell him that. Also, a lot of people were saying that a Glover used to farm up here in Quincy. And that is cool because I guess that it was Granpa's uncle. Man it is a small world.
So I am serving with Elder Scoggin. It has been a lot of fun getting to know him. He has been doing a lot of good work here in Quincy. He has been here going on 7 months and goes home in January. So we are going finish with a bang.
Mom, you are right. We only have McDonalds and Subway here in Quincy. It is a really small town. Lots of farming and lots of Spanish. Oh and we shop at walmart.
So a cool thing that happened this week was that my spanish got complemented on. A couple people have told me that I am speaking very good Spanish. But man, I got a ways to go. But it was definately a confidence booster to here that. The gift of tongues is real.
Well, I love yall so much. THanks for all the prayers and the letters and emails. Pray for my visa. There is still no word on it yet. Well, have a good week.
Love
Elder Glover
p.s. -- Thanks for sending me everyone's letters in the mail. I love seeing the success that everyone is having.
