Letter #20 A Week of Firsts! Again

Hola Familia

So this week was a week of firsts!!! A lot of good things happened...like we had two baptisms this saturday. Martin and Antonio Garcia got baptized Saturday afternoon at 4. It was a very special day. We had the YM President there and he gave great talk about baptism. And then the baptism was really nice. I was going to send you pictures, but I forgot my camera so maybe next time. Oh and I gave the talk on the Holy Ghost. And Mom, GUESS WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?!?! I played the piano at the baptism. Since I have been out here in WA I learned to play Come, Follow Me and Nearer My God to Thee. So I played those two songs for the baptism. Who would of ever thought I'd be playing the piano on my mission?????? BUt yeah, the mom of the boys, Monie Garcia, wasn't able to be baptized because she hadn't quit smoking so we postponed her baptism till this Saturday. I really hope and pray that she will be ready. We got her started on this program so hopefully, she will quit. And then in Sacrament Meeting yesterday the boys were confirmed and I got to confirm Antonio. It was very special and nice to see them recieve the Holy Ghost.
And then this Thurday we are having the baptism of Juana Yeates. She is so ready and excited for her baptism. She is going to be an awesome member of the church,. And she is bringing her husband, Fred Yeates, back into activity. She is a miracle!!!! But I won't be able to see it because I GOT MY VISA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know crazy right? But yeah, President Palmer called like 30 mins before the baptism and told me. I am so excited. I leave for Spokane tomorrow night and then on Wed. morning I am going to fly out of Spokane to SLC. And that is all I know. I am thinking that I will be back in the MTC for a couple of days before I actually head down to Mexico, but who cares. I am finally going.
It has been interesting to look back and reflect upon everything that has happened since I have been in WA in Moses Lake and here in Quincy. I was neat to look back and remember the miracles and recognize things that I have learned. It has been cool to see how many miracles have happened here in Quincy since I have been here and how much I have really come to love the people here in Quincy. I have a lot more relationships here in Quincy than I did in Moses Lake. But yeah, I am excited to go. But oh man, I am nervous. My world is going to be flipped upside down here in a little bit. It is like I did a miny mission and now I am headed out to the real thing. I am excited for it all and to take everything that I have learned to Mexico, especially the Spanish.
So anyway, I thought you all would be excited to here about that. It was some great news to me. Well, I am sure I will be having some kind of contact with you guys here in the next week or so again. I love you guys. Thanks for all the letters, emails, prayers, thoughts, and support. Love y'all!!!
Con Amor
Elder Glover
